Seedstars Mali: Medical innovation wins first ever edition

Seedstars World was in Bamako, Mali to pick the best seed stage startup that would represent the country at the Global Seedstars Summit in Switzerland and AikoCorp, a medical innovation came out top of the 8 startups that were shortlisted to pitch at the event.

Winner of the first ever edition of Seedstars Bamako which held at Impact Hub on September 4, AikoCorp, is a service that allows hospitals and laboratories confidentially send medical results to patients through SMS. While airtime transfer service, Transup, came second and motorcycle registration and insurance device, Feuze came third. The other startups that pitched at Seedstars Bamako are HMV, Pharmoso, E-Keneya, AllianceJ and Orientkey.

Emerging the winner of the maiden edition of the Seedstars Mali means AikoCorp will be competing with startups from over 65 countries across the world for the chance to win $1.5 million in equity investment at the Seedstars World Summit in Switzerland.
