ENTERPRISE54 – Easy Taxi co-Founder Bankole Cardoso’s mother Dr. Ameyo Shade Adadevoh, today would be laid to rest. Dr. Ameyo is pretty well known in Nigeria today. Many thanks to her, Nigeria has recorded a far lesser number of Ebola cases and deaths. Unfortunately, she paid with her dear life.

The 58-year old was the lead doctor at the First Consultants Medical Centre where Liberian Ebola victim Mr. Patrick Sawyer was unsuccessfully treated. The late medical practitioner interacted directly with the Liberian official and insisted that he be contained in the hospital when he reportedly refused treatment.

“My mum paid the ultimate price to contain the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Nigeria and as the accolades grow louder; my heart swells with equal measure of great pride and great pain,” Bankole Cardoso said at the Night of Tributes held in her honour yesterday.
