Django Girls Lagos is a 1-day workshop that will train 30 women how to build websites from scratch. No previous programming knowledge is required. All you need is to bring along a laptop and your willingness to learn.

This would make a good entry point for women who want to break into web development and programming (but knowledge has been a huge barrier to entry). So, tell your friends as well. There’ll be coding Miyagis on hand to hold your hand as you’re trained in the ancient art of Code-Fu.

If you live outside Lagos, don’t let that stop you. The organisers are willing to help out in whichever way they can, so still apply.
