ENTERPRISE54: Young would-be South African entrepreneurs have less than a week to apply for the SA Global Entrepreneurship Week’s Business Plan Competition.
Now in its fifth year, the national competition which is supported by the Business Partners Limited / SME Toolkit is open to South Africans between the age of 18 and 35 who desire to launch their business.
The competition will help exhume entrepreneurial talents in the country and also serve as a springboard to success for budding businessmen and women.
Group Enterprise Development Manager for Business Partners Limited, Petro Bothma said the competition will equip aspiring entrepreneurs to build their entrepreneurial skills and abilities at workshop sessions that will be organised for the selected entrants.
At the workshop, the participants will be invited to submit a business plan to the competition judging panel after which eight regional winners will be selected to compete for the national title.
The overall winner will be announced during the Global Entrepreneurship Week that will take place in November.
Regional winners will get a media recognition and Mentorship Programme support.
The overall winner will also get a mentorship support plus R20, 000 ($2,000) cash gift.
Entrants have until the 18th of August 2014 to submit their request.
