ENTERPRISE54: What would Small and Medium Enterprise owners benefit if they decide to list their business on the bourse?

Well, Executive Director of Diamond Bank Plc, Victor Ezenwoke said listing on the Stock Exchange will open SME businesses to investors and the enormous opportunity available in the capital market.

“There are lots of benefits when you open up your channels and business for people to throw in ideas,” Ezenwoke said while speaking at a seminar organised for SME owners in Nigeria over the weekend.

To get their business listed, Ezenwoke said SME operators need to develop tenacity of purpose, focus and consistency in their chosen business line.

According to him, the problem with most businesses is that they focus more on making profit at the developmental stage rather than looking for ways to sustain and grow the business.

He urged SME operators to think outside the box (be innovative) so that they can grow their business to a level that they can list it on the Stock Exchange.

Technology is another aspect entrepreneurs are urged to invest in to grow their businesses.

NSE-listed Diamond Bank is one of the leading banks in Nigeria with subsidiary in the United Kingdom.
