Ventures Platform is now receiving applications from startups looking to scale their businesses, into its accelerator program.

The selection committee which is made up of successful entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders will assess candidates based on but not limited to: Passion, Ingenuity, Stick-to-it-iveness, Market Viability and Capacity to execute.

Selected startups get a seed funding of $20,000 in exchange for 10% equity. Of the total amount, $15,000 is a direct cash receivable over the course of the program, while $5,000 will be in essential services tailored to fast track the growth of each business.

Startups are expected to work from Ventures Platform Hub during the 3 – 4 months duration of the program as on campus accommodation will be provided for a maximum of two team members per startup on a need basis. Each startup, will be provided with business advisory, business development, strategy mapping, mentor/advisor support, back office, shared services and work space.

The accelerator program will begin with an Intro day where every startup makes their first pitch and shares their expectations with the VP community of mentors, partners, and ends in a Demo day where they pitch their final product to an audience of Investors. In between is a series of assessments, boot camps, office hours with both the VP incubation team and mentors, health checks and practice pitch sessions.a

There would also be dinners with prominent mentors, where they get to share their experiences and engage with the startups. In addition are movie nights and even house parties to wind down from all the startup stress.

Applications are opened until February 28, 2017. Interested startups can apply here.
