Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme: Apply now to win $10,000

The Tony Elumelu Foundation Enterpreneurship Programme also known as Africa’s largest business incubator has opened application for the 3rd round of its entrepreneurship programme.

Interested entrepreneurs must have their businesses based in Africa, the business must be for profit, the entrepreneur must be 18 years and above and a legal resident or citizen of an African country.

As with previous editions, The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme 2017 will provide entrepreneurs critical tools for excelling, such as training, which will last 12 weeks, mentorship, and seed capital – US$5,000 in non-returnable seed capital and a US$5,000 convertible loan.

1,000 entrepreneurs will be selected based on the viability of their business idea, market opportunity, financial understanding, scalability, leadership and entrepreneurial skills demonstrated in the application.

The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme is a 10-year, $100 million commitment to train, mentor and fund 10,000 African entrepreneurs in African countries to generate 1,000,000 new jobs, that can contribute at least $10 billion additional revenue to the African economy.

Since its launch two years ago, the programme has assisted nearly 2,000 entrepreneurs and created thousands of jobs across the continent.

Application portal for the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme is open until midnight (WAT), March 1, 2017.
