Johnson & Johnson opens application for $100,000 African healthcare start-up competition

Johnson & Johnson, an American multinational pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods company is inviting African healthcare entrepreneurs or start-ups to apply for its Africa Innovation Challenge.

Eligible applicants must possess consumer healthcare solutions that address one of: promotion of early child development & maternal health, empowerment of young girls, and the improvement of family well-being in Africa.

The competition is open to citizens and permanent residents of African countries aged 18 years and above; undergraduates or an Engineer in the field; great ideas that are innovative, creative, scalable and with a detailed project plan that outlines how the award would help them reach a critical milestone within a year, while also providing a full commercialization plan; early-stage start-ups or projects that have raised less than $100,000.

Selected applicants will get funding of up to $100,000, potential lab space in Africa and/or business and technical mentorship from some of the brightest minds at Johnson & Johnson.

Johnson & Johnson is introducing the Africa Innovation Challenge, to encourage entrepreneurial thinking in Africa and the creation of consumer healthcare solutions that address the critical unmet needs of the continent and her people.

    I wish to Start a Standard Restaurant where Food and Varies Menu are Cheap and Affordable to the Poor in Nigeria Society especially in Lagos.
