ENTERPRISE54 – The time is now for Africa’s advertising and marketing communication practitioners as the International Advertising Association (IAA) prepares to hold its very first all-inclusive conference for firms doing business in Africa next month.

The IAA leadership conference themed ‘Africa Rising: The New Consumer Generation’ is slated to hold at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel, Accra between the 27th and 28th April, 2015. Attendees will be treated to a detailed analysis of the present and future of Africa’s wider advertising industry, an in-depth assessment and understanding of the economic, social forces and trends facing consumers, brands and governments in Africa.

A collaboration between the IAA and its local affiliate – the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG), the landmark event will be opened by the President of the Republic of Ghana, John Mahama. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with advertising industry leaders from Africa and around the world

Earlier this year, the IAA recognized Ghanaian company Kasapreko’s award-winning Alomo Bitters, as one of Africa’s top rising brands on the continent having been listed among the top ‘five global liquors about to go big’ in a poll conducted by CNN Money in 2013. According to Michael Lee, Managing Director of IAA, ‘It is a brand that is developed wholly in Ghana and slowly it is becoming a global brand.’

It is therefore no surprise, that the Founder and Group Chairman of Kasapreko, Dr Kwabena Adjei would be a guest speaker at the IAA leadership conference, come April. Other speakers are Seni Adetu (Guiness Nigeria PLC), Thembelihle N. Msibi (ASA South Africa), Julian Boulding (thenetworkone) and many more.

Norkor Duah, IAA Vice President of Development in Africa said: “This is a unique opportunity for advertising and marketing professionals in Africa.”
